Reconstruction drawings auf the Austrian Houses of Parliament

Artwork Photography

More than 1.500 architectural plans of the parliament building of the architects Fellerer and Woerle had been digitised during the year of 2014. Those reconstructional drawings incorporated the whole reconstruction process of the parts destroyed during WW II.

The architectural drawings had been created on silk-paper and at that time on so called aquafix-paper during the period of 1946 to 1955.

Due to the very fragile and transparent status of the plans the actual picture capturing had to be done in a nearly complete dust-free environment.

Small dust particles had to be removed during an additional post-production working process.
